I prefer Kodi+Raspberry Pi because I have a dedicated and curated library of content stored locally on a server and a RPi is cheaper and easier because it can use HDMI CEC (Meaning I can use the same TV remote to control KODI instead of needing an additional remote). You only need an Android box for streaming things like Netflix/Hulu/YouTube.
